What the Story is About: Third novel in the “Rifters” trilogy. While the deep sea microbe ßehemoth has spread across the Earth and the biosphere is dying a group of corporate executives and bioengineered “rifters” take refuge in Atlantis, a secret deep-sea habitat. As it turns out, they are less safe than they believed they were. In the second half several of the characters move back to dry land to try to find their enemy before they are destroyed.
